Feeding a Giraffe

We visit the zoo a lot but this was the first time we hung around in line for the Giraffe encounter. This meant Nathan got to get up close and personal and feed the giraffe some celery. I thought he might be a bit wary but nope, he was into it. It's pretty cool to be able to experience things like that.

Holiday Number 2

For some reason once I got back to Auckland after holiday number 1 I was back feeling rather yuck with nausea etc, so I thought maybe I should go on another holiday :) any excuse really. So Nathan and I headed back down to Te Kaha for another week.

The creek was still a little to cold for the little man so we filled up the pool

Erin and the girls came for a night

He hadn't quite sussed the pedals for the tractor so a push was in order

Whilst being distracted from the cold water with his boat, Uncle Reid managed to get a few smiles out of him in the creek

The big catch! There wasn't a lot of fish caught but this one made up for it

Fresh from the sea...

And Fresh from the pot

Camp oven cooking, delish!! We did a roast pork in the camp oven and a pudding in the ceramic dish... As well as chicken, vege's, raw fish, and crayfish... What a feast!

Meeting Mana

Nathan got to meet the gorgeous Mana Mutale, our friends Chris and Renee's son. Renee and Mana were over from Brisbane visiting friends and family, it was good to catch up with them.

Catching up with me mate Ryda

Mel and Ryda are over from Brisbane, it was cool to catch up with them and the Flemings in the Mount.
