Flying Solo
I've had some great help and support since Maia was born. Mum was up for the first week and helped with looking after Nathan, housework and meals. She left on Friday and then Dean took over, he has been great too. He cooked some lovely meals and spent a lot of quality time with Nathan, taking him to the circus and the zoo etc. He went back to work today so I'm flying solo with the two kiddies. It's been pretty good so far, we've played bubbles, train set, had a visitor then had lunch. Nathan's gone down for his nap now so I might have one too. As for lil miss sleepy head, She's had her eyes open for all of about 10mins and other than feeds she's been sleeping the whole time. It's a real effort to try and wake her for feeds, and mostly she just feeds and sleeps at the same time. She's got a lovely new Moses basket from Nanny so she can be out in the lounge with us during the day and for taking away with us on trips to the Mount. So so far Being mum of 2 has been pretty smooth. I guess having a few more clues than first time round helps, and just not being so exhausted helps too.

OMG! What a beautiful wee girl you have, well done to the whole whanau, you must all be so happy and proud.
Sorry that it's taken so long to congratulate you, but you know what it's like with a toddler and a newborn - where does the day go?
Sadly, Jarvis is still not at all impressed with his little brother (you are lucky there), so it's taking a lot of patience and time to keep him happy. He's normally such a loving and caring boy, but his just not happy that we have to put so much time into Felix.
We are not going to Felix onto Jarvis, but just doing little things like getting him to kiss Felix on th head when the boys go off on a play date.
I'm flying home today, as my Mother-in-law is going to be stayin with us and our house here in Sydney is SOOO small, that I'd have to bunk with her, and that IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
So yeah, arrive this arvo at 2.30pm and will be staying with some mates from The Edge.
I miss all my old buddies so much and need a long weekend of adult stuff. Plus I need to stock up on AB's shirts for the boys, so we can Stand In Black come the World Cup ;o)
So yeah, once again, well done you guys Maia is such a cutie and sounds like the perfect wee bub.
